James Reed Parlier, 80, of Fort Madison, died at 9:44 AM Wednesday, April 19, 2017, at his home.
Born July 12, 1936, in Macon County, IL, he was the son of Charles Edward and Audrey Lincoln Hanks Parlier. He married Frances Trancoso at Sacred Heart Church, in Fort Madison.
James worked at Fruehauf Trucking for twenty-five years and Wabash for three years.
He was a member of Sacred Heart Church in Fort Madison. He played semi-pro baseball, enjoyed watching stock car racing, and enjoyed going out to eat with his family, friends, and his grandchildren. He was a St. Louis Cardinals and a Green Bay Packers Fan and loved his gum.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, James (Debbie) Parlier of Knoxville, IL, Danny (McKinzie) Parlier of Roseville, IL, and Freddie (Kim) Parlier of Fargo, ND; one daughter, Jessica (Rolland) Parlier of Galesburg, IL; multiple grandchildren, Nicholas Sharp, Michael Weinberg, Zachary Sharp, Brandy Poole, Kristin Parlier, Simon Peterson, Seth Parlier, Isabella Parlier, Iris Parlier, and Eleanore Parlier; three great-grandchildren, River Sharp, Cody Hillier, Mackenzie Chaney; two brothers, Richard Parlier of Fort Madison, and Ronnie Parlier of Abingdon, IL.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Charles Parlier and Bruce Parlier, and one son-in-law, Ron McKee.
Cremation has been entrusted to the care of Prugh~Thielen Crematory.
There will be no visitation or services.
