Mark Edward Kobs, 57, of Burlington, died at 3:21 PM Monday, March 5, 2018, at the Great River Medical Center in West Burlington.
Born January 4, 1961, in Moberly, MO, he was the son of Edward Joseph and Grace Evelyn Kobs.
He worked for Hope Haven for many years.
He was an avid Chicago Cubs fan. He was a member of Boy Scout Troop 15, Bowling League and different activities at Hope Haven. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his friends and family.
Survivors include his sister, Patricia Mason of Moberly, MO; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews; uncle, Donald Kobs of Danville; uncle and caregiver, James (Mary) Kobs of Mount Pleasant; two aunts, Ruth Sullivan of Falon, NV, Mary O'Neill of Marion; and many cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Kathy Cross.
Visitation will be from noon until 1:00 PM with the family to receive friends, Friday, March 9, 2018 at Prugh~Thielen Funeral Home.
The funeral service for Mr. Kobs will be 1:00 PM Friday, March 9, 2018, at Prugh~Thielen Funeral Home. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery.
A memorial has been established for Hope Haven Area Development Center.
