Jennifer "Jennie" Leann Maddox of Lomax, Il, age 39, passed away peacefully in her home, on Monday, March 12, 2018 at 3:15PM, after a 13 year battle with cancer.
She was born November 11, 1978, at Carbondale Memorial Hospital in Carbondale, IL to Larry E. and Patricia L. (Bigeck) Maddox.
She was a graduate of LaHarpe High School in 1998 and a member of Union Church in La Harpe, IL.
Survivors include her life partner, Jason Kraisser, of Lomax; her parents, Larry and Patricia Maddox of Burlington, Ia; three sisters, Sherri (Mike) Samuel of Carterville, IL, Donna (Bret) Robertson of Creal Springs, IL, and Felecia (Shannon) Pence of Lomax, IL; her beloved dogs, Lady Bug and Bubby. Jennie's survivors also include two nephews, Dalton Robertson and Sawyer Pence; two nieces, Sidney Pence and Taylor Pence; Papa, Dean Watts of Marion, IL; and several cousins and aunts and uncles.
She was preceded in death by numerous aunts, uncles, and grandparents.
Jennie truly lived life to the fullest: by being the life of the party, hanging out with friends, painting, chatting on Facebook, and attending concerts. Jennie also loved to travel to the beach, as she visited Mexico on several vacations with friends. Jennie never met a stranger and was able to touch the lives of many with her big heart and infectious smile.
Visitation will be from 3:00 PM until 6:00 PM with the family to receive friends, Thursday, March 15, 2018 at Prugh~Thielen Funeral Home.
The funeral service for Ms. Maddox will be 6:00 PM Thursday, March 15, 2018, at Prugh~Thielen Funeral Home with Reverend Bruce Goettsche officiating.
Cremation will be entrusted to the care of Prugh~Thielen Crematory following the service.
Memorials have been established for the American Cancer Society, Des Moines County Humane Society, and OSF St. Francis Hospital in Peoria, IL.
