Howie Hamor, 24, of Burlington, died Saturday, September 30, 2017, at the Great River Medical Center in West Burlington.
Born December 24, 1992, in Burlington, IA, he was the son of Howard Leon and Amber Dawn Goddard Hamor.
Howie was a very special, loving and caring person. He was outgoing and quick to love new people. He enjoyed working on cars, learning new skills, traveling, and tinkering. He also enjoyed hiking, the outdoors and camping, he was always up for a new adventure.
Survivors include his father; his uncle, Kenneth (Kim) Hamor of Burlington; his maternal grandparents, Floyd and Judy Goddard of Muscatine; his aunt and uncle, Pam and Troy Sherner of Moscow, IA; and several cousins.
He was preceded in death by his mother, and his paternal grandparents, Janet and Kenneth Hamor.
Cremation has been entrusted to the care of Prugh~Thielen Crematory.
There will be no visitation or services.
A memorial has been established for the Human Rights Campaign in honor of the LGBTQ Community.
